Week 22 of 2026
Still doing a lot of interviews. Won’t add more applications to this cohort, already reached my context switching limit.
This cohort has 44 job applications, of those 33 were started by me and 11 by the company. Gonna publish the full stats when all of this is over.
I’ve written two weeks in a row to know the result of the recruiter screen I probably bombed some time ago. Still no answer, I think they have ghosted me 👻
Considering playing a longer game again. The current candidates are: No Man’s Sky, Red Dead Redemption, Skyrim and The Witcher 3.
Not having too much time to discover new music. So many great albums but so little time 😭.

Albums/EPs:
- Favorite of the week: A Forest of Stars - Stack Overflow in Corpse Pile Interface (Also on Bandcamp). Avant-Garde Metal, maybe it can be called Post Black Metal? Great album with the right amount of weirdness. Kind of an arbitrary decision because all albums were great this week
- Knats - A Great Day in Newcastle (Also on Bandcamp). I was curious about this album because it’s produced by Geordie Greep. Probably one of the best Jazz albums of 2026 or at least one of my favorites
- Ram-Zet - Sapien (Also on Bandcamp). Great Avant-Garde Metal, it reminds me Igorrr a bit
Recently released singles:
- Favorite of the week: A Perfect Circle - Starless. The songs in Mer de Noms are still unbeatable for me but this is a pretty good single
- aespa - LEMONADE. Probably their best single since Whiplash
- iiso - Best Friend. Produced by Mura Masa, maybe she’s entering the big leagues?
- IVE - LUCID DREAM
- Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith - RUIN. Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith making D&B wasn’t on my 2026 bingo card!
- NMIXX, Anderson .Paak - Caution. NMIXX is currently my favorite K-Pop group but this collab didn’t do it for me.
- Milena - Telescope. Old-school ballad sound
- The Ocean - Light Pollution. A slow burner
