Weekly reminder that I’m looking for a job in Spain.

Did some interviews this week. The last time was in October 2022. I’m slowly starting to feel less rusty.

Completely bombed a recruiter screening. At the end there was a Ruby trivia section that’s recorded and sent to the engineering team for review. The last time I touched Ruby in production was in 2022 and I dont’t remember Ruby details like the difference between super and super() (I probably didn’t even know back then 😆). Tried my luck answering the questions anyway instead of just saying “I don’t know” and the strategy completely blown up in my face 😂. I dislike trivia questions in interviews. Hopefully there won’t be too many in the future.

Finally received the NMIXX cap from March.

Superbooth

Had a great time at SUPERBOOTH26 this week. You can try new electronic instruments, talk to their makers and listen to many artists playing.

Some highlights include:

• Attending the pre-show at Ohm. Baseck X KODEK was amazing
• Watching again Baseck and KODEK performing at the Erica Synths booth
• The Gudrun Gut DJ set
• The Lady Starlight x Rødhåd live set
• The Tunegirl x Colin Benders live set
• Listening to Bob Coover, co-founder of Groove Synthesis giving an impromptu masterclass on Wavetable synthesis. I hope to reach one day that level of expertise, passion for your craft and ability to explain technical concepts
• Playing the Frap Tools Magnolia
• Playing the Miltone 4exp, a clone of the legendary Oberheim Four Voice, and talking to the creator
• Testing the Chase Bliss Big Time delay pedal
