Week 41 of 2026
Came back to Berlin for some final things. The moving truck came on Monday. Also our visas are finally ready so I can start working this month.
This week I’ve been trying to visit some of my favorite places before leaving and met with some friends.
My family and I were regulars at Smart Deli. The owner gave me a package for them as a parting gift.
Went to Ari’s for the first time. This restaurant is owned by a former SoundCloud coworker and the food is great. If you like Peruvian sandwiches, this place is a must.

- Favorite of the week: Phuyu y La Fantasma - Anticuecas subterráneas (Reconstruidas) (Also on Bandcamp). Re-Recording of the original album with a full band this time. This modern classic of Chilean music is one of my favorite albums of 2026
- Kaátaìra - Caminhos de água (Also on Bandcamp). Brazilian masterpiece. I don’t know if this is Post-Metal, Folk Metal or what, just that it’s great.
- Portrayal of Guilt - …Beginning of the End (Also on Bandcamp). I hear a lot of Godflesh influences and also Nu Metal elements
